Vishay's new white SMD LED features the thickness of only 0.9mm

Recently, Vishay Intertechnology Introduces using indium gallium nitride (InGan) technology, with low resistance and high optical power characteristics of the new warm white SMD LED  VLMW611 and VLMW621 series.

The VLMW611 series uses CLCC-6 package, while VLMW621 Series uses the industry with 0.9mm ultra-thin thickness of CLCC-6 flat package.

The new white SMD LED with 1,800 mcd ~ 7,100 mcd light intensity range, and 40K / W and 50K / W low thermal resistance, specifically for the automotive and transport, consumer, and general applications backlighting and illumination were optimized. Major applications include handheld mobile terminals, such as mobile phone and PDA, etc.; also suitable for instrument panel; marker lamps; advertising display, as well as refrigerators, washing machines and dryers and other appliances and bike lights and other applications.

All of these components are with 140mA Forward Current, 4.3V maximum forward voltage and 650mW power consumption. These components provide 24lm / W light efficiency and compliance with JESD22-A114-B specification of the highest 1kV ESD withstand voltage.

The new white SMD LED has a 60 ° angle of half intensity with IR reflow process compatible and comply with CECC 00802 and J-STD-020C standard. These components have passed the AEC-Q101 automotive standard certification and comply with RoHS 2002/95/EC and WEEE 2002/96/EC specifications. According to JEDEC Level 4 standard pretreatment CLCC-6 and CLCC-6 flat package is lead (Pb), and comply with RoHS.

In the market, require a reliable product with a high light efficiency, the components of the ceramic package so that they require careful thermal management applications ideal source. Their low thermal resistance allows these components to achieve maximum light output as the additional current drive, while keeping up to 50,000 hours of life.
