U.S. medical building AIA Design Award 2013 has been announced

Building Name: UCLA, outpatient surgical oncology centers
Project Address: California, United States
Architectural Design: Michael W. Folonis Architects

This building in addition to providing a centralized treatment of patients with medical function, but also implemented it as an architectural aesthetic value. This building is the only one to win the AIA-AAH list Category Award Award and construction double prizes. Please feel free to read more news on building design.

Building Name: Peace Island Medical Center
Project Address: Washington, United States
Architectural Design: Mahlum

The building reflects the nursing staff and the entire community values: humility, environment-friendly, as well as innovation. The whole building has implemented the idea of sustainable development, such a system, in large savings in water and energy use.

Building Name: Everett Medical Center Outpatient smoked points
Project Address: Washington, United States
Architectural Design: ZGF Architects LLP

This project from start to finish a share of 275 days. The construction of this building requires coordination of multiple stakeholders, including Atlanta and Fulton County Government, the insurance company Whiting-Turner, Fulton County Board of Supervisors Vice Chairman Emma Darnell, Fulton County Cultural Affairs Office, Medical Center employees and West Side neighborhood residents.

Building Name: University of Minnesota Children's Hospital
Project Address: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Architectural Design: Tsoi / Kobus & Associates

The building for the hospital to create a unique identity, appearance of a bright and colorful live wave stainless steel plate, an interactive interior design theme: "Discovery World entrance." Found in AIDS patients in the region, the ability to detect and transferred for treatment.

This medical center, an innovative concept of sustainable development and is nationally recognized. The hospital has 360 beds, an acute care hospital located in the center.

Building Name: San Antonio Military Medical Center (affiliated to Brooke Army Medical Center)
Project Address: Houston, TX
Architectural Design: RTKL Associates, Inc.

San Antonio Military Medical Center is the largest inpatient medical center. Also the U.S. National Security Agency certification bodies burn centers. Officially opened in 2011, the addition of 102 beds, a rehabilitation clinic, an expanded operating rooms, a new emergency departments.

Building Name: Sheikh Khalifa Medical City
Project Address: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Architectural Design: SOM with ICME & Tilke (ITS)

Khalifa Medical City is located in the heart of Abu Dhabi city, is a 838 -bed complex has a medical center. It is composed of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) and ICME and Tilke, SKMC joint design of three Grade Women's, Children's Hospital.
