British company introduces new energy saving lamp bulbs with 60 years lifespan

According to the British Daily Mail, a revolution in lighting is quietly forward, and the traditional light bulbs and energy saving light bulbs will be fierce competition. Currently, the University of Cambridge researchers have developed inexpensive light - emitting diode (LED) bulbs, which enables less energy can be released from bright light. Its price was only 2 pounds, the sustainable use of 60 years.

Although this small LED bulb also credits the score, it is the traditional incandescent light bulbs lighting efficiency is 12 times that of low-energy fluorescent bulbs three times. It differs from the current energy saving lamp bulb, directly after the power is turned completely illuminated. If in each residential and office installation of such bulbs will make the total annual lighting electricity consumption 20% to 5%.

Early January this year, the British "Daily Mail" reported that, people started to pay attention to use energy saving light bulbs, many stores stopped Inventory traditional 100 watt incandescent light bulb. UK government said the use of energy saving lamp bulbs can reduce the release of five million tons of carbon dioxide annually.

They used the LED lamp in a synthetic gallium nitride semiconductor material used to manufacture the light emitting diode. Due to low prices size and brightness light-emitting diodes compared with traditional bulbs have the advantage that it has been used in the manufacture bicycle lights, mobile lights, camera flash and so on.

But the cost of manufacturing the energy saving lamp bulb is extensively used if the cost is too expensive, this is because the material must be made from the light emitting diode sapphire wafers, means that the cost of manufacturing the light emitting diode lamp will be higher, about 20 pounds. Currently, gallium nitride Cambridge Research Center scientists propose effective solutions, they will use silicon wafers to manufacture light-emitting diode, thereby greatly reducing costs. England County Durham RFMD Company has begun manufacturing the prototype. It is expected to be the first LED light bulbs on the market within two years.
